Hiring List
Click on the link below to view our most recent list of member contractors looking for apprentices. Be sure to check back frequently. This list is updated often as we get updates from our member contractors on hiring status.
Tips on using this list:
- Many applicants begin at the top of the list, but that approach can cause you to miss great opportunities further down the list.
- Consider all employers regardless of location or distance. Most contractors have projects across the metro area, and you’ll typically report directly to job sites, not their main office.
Before you apply:
Take time to research each employer you are considering. Look them up online and learn about their work. Consider questions like:
- Is this a large company or a smaller operation?
- What type of work do they primarily do—residential, commercial, industrial, or a mix?
- Which kind of work environment fits you best?
After you apply:
Follow up. Whether you submit an application, send an email, or make a call, don’t assume they’ll reach out first. A quick follow-up shows initiative and genuine interest.
Be sure to mention that you’ve applied to the Harford County Electrical Apprenticeship Program.
Finally, bring energy and enthusiasm to every interaction. Show your interest in the trade, your willingness to work hard, and your commitment to learning.
