Apply for Apprentice License - To comply with Maryland state licensing requirements, all apprentices must register with the State of Maryland.
After completing your registration and paying the $12 fee, you’ll be able to download and print a copy of your apprentice license. Be sure to also save a digital copy on your phone for easy access. State of Maryland Continuing Education Requirements and Deadlines
Maryland Master Electricians must complete 10 hours of state-approved continuing education (CE) every two years to renew their license. At least five of these hours must be completed in a live, in-person classroom setting or a live virtual setting, while the remainder can be completed online.
Journeypersons must complete 5 hours of state-approved CE every two years.
